    EDDIE RICHARDS
It’s said that DJing is a job that needs no qualifications, but experience always shows. Eddie Richards, ‘Britain’s Godfather of house and techno’(Mixmag), embodies this like no-one else.
While many of his peers have faded into irrelevance or bloated into mainstream mediocrity, Eddie has constantly remained at the forefront of cutting edge underground dance music. Often
regarded as ‘the DJs DJ’, Eddie’s insatiable appetite for new music has meant he’s always one step ahead of the game, as his relentless schedule of gigs, remixes and original productions
    proves.
The world of dance music may change with bewildering speed, but one thing remains constant: somewhere, Eddie Richards will be rocking the party.

    THE MOTHERSHIP
  • We are delighted to announce the Aotearoa debut of New York City house music royalty: Timmy Regisford.
Few figures have shaped the sound and spirit of house music like Timmy Regisford. From New York's legendary WBLS radio station to executive A&R roles at Atlantic, MCA,Motown and DreamWorks Records, Regisford has spent more than four decades helping define dance music from both behind the scenes and behind the decks. A Shelter Mix or dub on a record has been the go-to weapon of DJs the world over when they want to inject a dancefloor with the soulful house sound that Timmy Regisford pioneered.
As founder and resident of the iconic Club Shelter in 1991 Timmy created one of dance music's most influential institutions - a sanctuary built on soulful house, disco, Afro rhythms, jazz, gospel and community that continues to inspire DJs and dancers around the world.
Frank Booker says “When I think of House Music, I think of New York City. When I think of New York City house music clubs, I think of the Shelter: The identity of Shelter is inseparable from Timmy Regisford. One of the greatest club nights I’ve ever experienced was listening to Timmy turn it out in London in 2005 for HOURS on end. If you love the sound of DJs like Louie Vega, Joe Claussell and Francois K, you will LOVE Timmy. We can’t wait for this one!”
Join us at The Mothership has for a heads down late night thumper of a party with a guest who’s been tearing up dancefloors the world over for the best part of 35 years. Keep the Music First!
