  • PLUMP DJS 25TH ANNIVERSARY | AUCKLAND

Plump DJs are pioneering London-based DJ and production duo who have been pushing electronic music forward since 1998. Famed for their boundary-blurring blend of breakbeat, bass and house, they’ve played a defining role in shaping modern dance music. Their signature sound — heavy grooves, rolling rhythms and undeniable energy — continues to influence DJs and producers worldwide.

Rising to prominence in the late ’90s, they became synonymous with the UK breakbeat movement through a string of groundbreaking releases on Finger Lickin’ Records. Their debut album A Plump Night Out was a genre-defining moment, with follow-ups Eargasm and Headthrash further evolving their sound — fusing funk, techno and electro while staying true to their groove-driven roots.

Renowned for electrifying performances, Plump DJs have rocked iconic stages from Fabric and Glastonbury to Breakfest, Fuji Rock, Coachella and Boomtown. Their ability to evolve with the scene while staying authentic has kept them at the forefront for over two decades.

In recent years, they’ve continued to innovate — launching their daytime concept Daybreaks and releasing fresh material on Etcetc Music, Against The Grain Records and Punks Music. Most recently, they joined forces with Krafty Kuts and Freestylers to form King of the Beats — a powerhouse trio delivering explosive performances that celebrate breakbeat’s legacy while driving it into the future.

With a career built on innovation, passion and relentless energy, Plump DJs remain a driving force on dance floors worldwide.
